Things to Know!
How does the process work?
Reach out to me through the site on the "contact" page and let me know how I can help you with your pet care needs and I will get back with you. Prior to booking a service with a new client, I like to schedule a meet and greet in person. This typically takes place in the client's home.
Do you care for all kinds of animals?
Yes! Any pets that can be kept as house pets within the city limits are welcome. Dogs, cats, birds, small and furry, reptiles, birds, even pet pigs!
Does the meet and greet cost anything?
There is no charge for a meet and greet. This is an opportunity to see if we would be a good fit for you and your pet. There is no obligation to book with me before, during, or after the meet and greet.
What information will I need to provide?
If you decide that I would be a good fit for your pet(s), I would ask you to fill out and return some client information and permission forms. This would include basic information about you, your pet's care needs, your pet's veterinarian, emergency contacts, and pet sitting contract that includes a key release.
More Things to Know......
What if my pet becomes ill while in your care?
I will call you immediately. If I cannot reach you I will call your emergency contact. Part of the paperwork I will ask you to fill out will include a waiver stating that I can make decisions for your pet's health in the event of an emergency and I cannot reach anyone. I will do everything I can to guarantee the safety and health of your pet.
Please let me know if know your pet is ill and will need to take medication or need special attention while in my care. I will happily reach out to you with questions and updates about your pet.
How do overnight stays work? What about my house key?
During overnight stays, I will spend the night in the pet's home with the pet. I will see to them that morning, drop in on them during the day and then settle there in the evening. At some point before the stay, we can arrange a time for me to pick up your key. If you have an alarm, you are welcome to assign me my own code. I will return the key to you upon completion of the stay. I would prefer to hand you your keys back in person, even if that means I come back the next day to do so. If you want me to keep your key, that is fine. I will ask you to fill out a key waiver as well. Your key will only ever be used when you ask me to care for your pet or when I have expressed permission to enter your home in your absence.
How many dogs can you walk at once?
I only walk one dog family at a time. If they are small enough I can walk two or three but I many only be able to walk one medium or large sized dog at a time.
How does payment work?
Cash, check, Venmo, CashApp, and PayPal are all acceptable forms of payment. Accepting payments online is coming down the pipe.
Payment is due at the conclusion of the service. If you have a recurring service, such as weekly walks, we can square up at the end of the month.
